I once had an opportunity to work side by side with an "office humorist" who fulfilled his (and the majority of his colleagues') days with slipping thumbtacks on other people's chairs, placing bubble gum on PC mice, and cracking sort of "look, a cow is flying" jokes. Oh, and this was always followed by his silent giggling. When his employment relationship at the company was finished, he said in his final speech: "Right, peeps, now you will all die of boredom!"
